Substantial investment has been made alongside Transport for London to improve Knightsbridge station and its access for visitors and local residents. Two 17-person lifts located on Hooper’s Court will provide step-free access, to Knightsbridge station, for the first time.
The improvement of Knightsbridge Underground Station includes the introduction of on-platform cooling systems, re-located station entrance, to ease congestion from the corner with Sloane Street and to enhance public safety when exiting the station. Safety measures include widening the pavements to increase space surrounding the entrance and to prioritise pedestrian access on Brompton road and for those using the station. These measures result in significant improvement to the local area for the benefit of local residents and visitors to Knightsbridge.
The Knightsbridge Estate super prime location benefits from Knightsbridge station access, right on the door step, to the Piccadilly Line with direct connections to the rest of London, Heathrow Airport, King’s Cross Station and the Eurostar.
