The Knightsbridge Estate and Harrods have commenced works on a joint improvement scheme for Hans Crescent, designed by Andy Sturgeon Design.

The scheme will introduce new planting, integrated seating, high-quality paving and improved lighting, alongside a dedicated art zone for temporary installations. Together, the improvements will create a greener and more welcoming environment while maintaining clear pedestrian routes through the street.
The project will enhance the experience for visitors, residents and local businesses, support the retail and hospitality offer on Hans Crescent and encourage people to spend more time in the area.
The works also support the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea’s wider ambition to create greener, cleaner and more welcoming streets and public spaces across the borough.
Completion is scheduled for autumn 2026.
