Whilst redevelopment work is being carried out at the northern end, The Knightsbridge Estate aims to make the pedestrian journey along the development as pleasant as possible. A lighting design, inspired by renowned American artist Dan Flavin, was created based on light waves using coloured fluorescent lights.

Graphical representation of long and short sound waves were used for the design of the walkway ceiling lights.

There are 353 lights along the 46m long walkway on Sloane Street and Brompton Road with the colours for each repeat sequence changing from light orange, light red, red to purple, lavender and sky blue.
